The Great Room Wedding

I heart weddings.

I don't remember if I've mentioned it here, but for most of college, I wanted desperately to be a wedding planner. Now that I want to be a photographer when I grow up, I naturally want to photograph weddings.

This past Saturday, I got my wish. But more on that later.

Amy and Steve are an adorable, fun couple. They were married at The Great Room, which is a ballroom inside of an old historic mill (and it was as awesome as it sounds). Amy was just happy to be marrying Steve - she was calm and content in all of the hustle and bustle of the day. And Steve absolutely adored having Amy by his side; his face lit up every time she was next to him.

On the day of their wedding, rain poured from the sky as their smiles lit up the ballroom. But if the old wives' tales are true, that just means that Amy and Steve will be lucky in love.

Steve was a rockstar on the dance floor...just saying.

Amy is a girl after my own heart...she likes rubber ducks too!

Doing the single ladies dance before tossing the bouquet...

And I have no doubt that they will live happily ever after.

Julie, from Originations Photography, was kind enough to let me tag along with her, and I am so, so grateful for the opportunity to learn, but also to capture this sweet couple's special day!
